Key Competencies

  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows 7-10 setup, installation, upgrades and updates experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows 7-10 1st and 3rd party software and configuration experience
  • General knowledge of internet and local networking connectivity troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of Internet Explorer technologies (cookies, cache, IE options)
  • Knowledge of firewall and anti-virus software
  • Knowledge of Windows application usage (OneDrive file backup, Office – Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of search
  • Knowledge of file operations – add/modify/delete


  • Six months of customer support experience
  • Previous technical support or help-desk experience in a call centre or similar environment
  • High school certificate or equivalent, CompTIA A+, NET+, MCTIP/MCTS, or BS in CS or IT is preferred


  • Excellent customer service and communications skills with both written and spoken English
  • Strong active listening skills, able to ask strategic questions to uncover needs and deliver appropriate value-added recommendations for products/services that will solve customer problems
  • Ability to establish a quick rapport with customers and in-still confidence while demonstrating a passion for meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Ability to adapt communication style according to each customer’s personality, culture, and experience level
  • Use the information provided by the customer, your knowledge and available resources to define the most appropriate solution
  • Help customers to discover, use, and love Microsoft products and meet and exceeds their needs
  • Passionate about owning each support interaction through to resolution
  • Ensure proper case wellness with complete case creation of customer information, proper notes and case coding

  • Full-time employment (12-month contract including a 3-month probationary period)
