Overview:
Mitel is looking for an experienced MiCloud Global NOC Engineer in Prague, Czechia. The MiCloud Global NOC Engineer is responsible for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting of MiCloud Solutions applications, virtual server environment hosted in numerous global datacenters. Participation in incidents in support of mission critical solutions. Proven expertise in extensive support of high-availability systems, applications, infrastructure and the ability to provide data to downstream support team is essential. Additional duties will include supporting the Global IMOC team and managing incidents as defined by the incident management process.
This position will require a rotating schedule and may require off-hours support.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor all aspects of the MiCloud applications/servers & network/systems infrastructure solutions and follow define alerting playbook processes using various monitoring platforms
- Work with various monitoring platforms within Mitel to ensure that the alert processing is accurate and current as defined by the Development/Engineering teams.
- Communicate with cloud operations and engineering departments as well as external carriers to resolve and prevent issues
- Support of Linux/Windows based servers hosted in a virtual DC environment
- Provide 2nd level support to resolve complex technical problems
- Effectively communication skills
- Understanding of the criticality of support documentation/wiki as it relates to the defined processes
Requirements:
- In-depth TCP/IP/VoIP knowledge in a cloud-based environment
- Understanding of the various monitoring platforms in the place today.
- Understanding & experience with incident management
- Well versed in the latest ticketing systems. SFDC/Jira/Remedy
- CCNA certification preferred
- Capable with basic HP/Cisco router & switch administration
- Experience with command line usage in Linux/Windows setup.
- Strong understand sub-netting and network segmenting
- IP routing - configuration & troubleshooting
- Telco circuit knowledge & troubleshooting experience
- Hands-on network/server troubleshooting experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working in a Network Operations Center is highly preferred
- Experience with HP OMI-NNMI a plus
- Experience with the Martello/MPA application is a plus
- Experience with creating supporting documentation/wikis a plus
