Grant Coordinator
Project Syndicate is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Grant Coordinator to join our team in Prague.
The successful candidate will be an extremely organized self-starter who is passionate about the media and interested in philanthropy. He or she will have strong writing skills, research experience, and a desire to learn about media impact tracking and analysis.
The Grant Coordinator will work closely with our CEO and Deputy Managing Editor, who oversee our grant and partnership portfolio. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, can meet tight deadlines, and has exceptional attention to detail. Familiarity with grant proposals and their management as well as data tracking and analysis is a plus.
This is a dynamic position – part research, part administrative, part reporting – that will allow the qualified candidate to learn about grant making processes for media organizations from start to finish.
Core Responsibilities:
Grant management support, including:
Data collection & impact tracking
Trainings, workshop & event support
Key Skills & Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in a research and writing role and/or media
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Native-level English speaker
• Experience in searching, collecting, and analyzing/interpreting/evaluating information
• Knowledge of grant processes and experience working with grant applications
• Experience using Press Display, Lexus Nexus, Meltwater or similar search programs a plus
• Passion for the news and current events
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
