E-Learning Content Editor

What we are looking for:

Currently we are looking for a suitable candidate for the full-time opening of E-Learning Content Editor to join the company’s Prague office. The E-Learning team manage the end-to-end production of digital learning content with our partners beginning with supporting SMEs to author content; liaising with the AV team for the production of media; implementing a strict editorial focus for quality assurance; developing engaging content; and creating digital environments conducive to learning.

Working with content is an exciting and rewarding experience. We’re looking for a content editor who has experience with copyediting and quality control, and preferably within the Higher Education context, to ensure that all learning materials are ready to be used for production and delivery. Diligence and organisational skills, attention-to-detail and time/deadline management are essential skills to ensure the necessary foundations for a great student experience. The role will also involve some project management and content administration tasks.

Your responsibilities:

·        Copyediting course documents, schemes of work, scripts, assessment briefs, and other learning materials

·        Following up with content creators and other stakeholders to resolve inconsistencies in materials

·        Administrating draft and final learning materials on central system

·        Ensuring use of correct referencing system in learning materials

·        Quality assuring graphics, videos, and learning platforms as needed

·        Generating and editing subtitles on educational videos

·        Maintaining a style guide

·        Reviewing materials for copyright information and managing availability of resources on reading lists

You’ll ideally have the following qualifications:

·        Strong English language background is essential

·        At least 2 years of experience in editing, copyediting, or quality control

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Higher education work experience preferred, but not essential

·        Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

·        Ability to work proactively, in a fast paced commercial environment

·        Ability to set and meet deadlines and achieve goals

·        Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

·        Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical skills

·        Basic knowledge of legal issues in publishing (e.g. plagiarism and copyright) preferred, but not essential
