The Dealer Services Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the successful onboarding of new dealers and once dealers have been onboarded ensuring existing dealers remain satisfied with our service by providing timely and proactive solutions to their queries. Frequent contact with Defend Insurance key partners is required to ensure successful project delivery.Your team will be responsible for the input of data into 2 bespoke systems (iGard and iDefend) and therefore, it is required that you work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and other internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity.


  • Lead Project Manager for implementation of all new dealers within the UK department
  • Review existing practices within the team and subsequent recommendations for continued improvement, efficiency, and resilience
  • Ensure BAU tasks are being completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for ensuring team meet all KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Maintain a high performing service support function including iGard/iDefend support (internal and external), finance and dealer services
  • Regular meetings with key clients GardX Head Office and Fortegra UK to ensure satisfaction with projects and BAU tasks
  • Work closely with Service Delivery Manager to ensure successful transition of dealers from iDefend UK to iDefend V2
  • Owner of IT escalation processes for iGard and iDefend, ensuring high level of performance in these processes, accurate reporting (Risk and Issues Register)
  • Establish service improvement activities when required


  • At least 3 years or more experience from insurance company, consulting firm or financial services organisation is an advantage
  • Ability to balance supporting and leading multiple projects with multiple clients, including timely communication of project and deliverable status
  • A strong focus on building customer relationships and executing high standard customer service
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working alongside Lean principles preferable
  • Experience with leading a small team of employees
