We are currently seeking someone to fill a coordinator role in a busy news media environment. The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in the Czech Republic and have a minimum of 3 years admin. experience combined with English, Czech and Russian language skills. He/she will be part of the News Administration team at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in our Prague offices and support our Current Time team. This is a locally recruited full-time position on a one-year assignment initially, with a possibility of extension for an open-ended contract after one year.  


What can you expect in this role?

  • To work in an interesting, dynamic and fast-paced news media environment supporting a large news production team by creating and renewing freelance agreements, communicating with the team’s management, core staff, and freelance journalists.
  • Liaising with the finance department in helping to process various payments.
  • Coordinating staff business trips.
  • Maintaining and updating internal databases, including time record-keeping.
  • Interacting regularly with colleagues from other departments as well as visitors and VIP guests.

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone very organized who loves dealing with people.
  • A friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented individual with 3 years of previous professional experience and a bachelor’s degree.
  • Someone able to effectively communicate and disseminate information to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to steer internal processes, strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Working knowledge of database systems and MS Office software.
  • A professional with an aptitude for innovation and steering a variety of simultaneous processes.
  • High level of spoken and written English, Czech, and Russian.
