Our client is experiencing a growing need to properly govern and manage their data, therefore building a Data Management unit that will handle the governance and administration of data together with the administration of the technical platform. As a Cloud Data Storage Manager, your task will be co-develop a suitable and sound Data Architecture using Microsoft Cloud tools.

Main responsibilities:

  • Researching and understanding the current needs for data management in SITS and existing projects across the movement
  •  Designing, building, and implementation a proper Cloud Data Storage Architecture based on Microsoft Azure
  •  Working closely with Microsoft engineers on finding the most suitable, effective, and efficient solutions
  •  Designing, building, and implementation of a monitoring system for the various storage environments
  •  Monitoring and managing the storage environments
  •  Gradually building a data lake that will support advanced analytics and business intelligence

  •  Advanced degree in IT is strongly preferred
  •  Proven extensive traditional database skills and experience
  •  Proven experience with building and maintaining on-prem or cloud databases
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft cloud storage products
  •  Microsoft Azure experience strongly preferred: especially in data factory, file systems, and data engineering
  •  Knowledge of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) is desired
  •  Ability to connect to and source data from various systems
  •  Ability to analyze and understand stakeholder requirements and proactively design the most suitable solutions
  •  Ability to understand IT and business processes to understand their data requirements
  •  Fluent in professional English, both spoken and written
