Position Description:

Global Supply Operations (GSO) team for Europe, Middle-East & Africa (EMEA) focus on providing support to all Expedia Inc Brands, as well as Expedia Hotel Partners, processing and providing mission critical linkages between our Customers (Travelers) with the Brands (Points of Sale), Website Content and our Lodging Partners.

The GSO EMEA Administrative Assistant position requires a results-oriented, self-directed individual to join and support Expedia’s multilingual, multi-discipline GSO EMEA Team.

Responsibilities included:
• New hire and contractor setup
• Arrange group/team meetings with room bookings/facilities, including morale and “All Hands” meetings
• Support managers with presentations, ensuring they are well prepared for meetings
• Assist with space management and office move coordination
• Communication boards/actions/PR (including delivery of prizes, recognition gift, anniversary gift etc)
• When required, support beyond the London site to include GSO worldwide leadership for coordinated events, working in concert with other Admin Assistants
• Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; absolute discretion when handling confidential information
• Stakeholder management and support for various levels of management
• Must display appropriate levels of professional tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
• Some assignments are routine or semi-routine in nature, where limited judgment is required
• Able to use judgment and initiative; able to cope well when there is some ambiguity

Preferred qualifications:
• Native/fluent proficiency and comprehension in English is required; a second European Language is highly desirable
• Highly organized and detail oriented, with a strong focus on process, trends, and root cause analysis
• Highly proficient with MS Office programs and comfortable in Technology driven environment
• Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to develop effective solutions to difficult problems or situations
• Confident about his/her ability to contribute effectively; communicates in an effective and positive manner
• Independently driven to learn new applications, technologies, and skills
• Professional customer service skills: a passion for the customer/traveler experience, solve the problem first time, reputation and environmental Brand awareness

Experience & Education:
• Travel industry background and/or customer service support experience is highly desirable
• Familiar with accounting terms and financial operations
• Ideally, 3 year’s previous experience in a similar position
• Appropriate qualifications; a University Degree is preferred
