The Senior Category Buyer is responsible for implementing strategies for the RPO VLC Category via strategic sourcing initiatives and optimization projects, as well as executing spot buys. The role negotiates tactical purchases and implements contracts for the VLC category ensuring benefits in service levels, quality, price, etc.

What will you be doing:  

• Lead and execute strategic/tactical sourcing projects and Run RFI/RFP/RFQ/eAuctions/F2F negotiations.

• Manage supplier relationship and develop category Supplier Relationship Management (SRM); source and explore market for new suppliers.

• Collaborate with functional budget owners and work closely with the Category Manager, Procurement Shared Services, Global Procurement Office and other relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor Category and contracts performance, price variance and take appropriate corrective actions when needed.

• Review, sign and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts / Complete contract termination requests & submit for approval / Consolidate contracts locally as well as across countries / Assure timely contract renewal and manage/plan contract expiration dates.

• Challenge existing ways of working in order to improve procurement results and efficiency, delivering procurement targets / Track procurement results of the assigned area of responsibility and translate into reporting structures;

What you will bring:  

• Fluency in English C1 Level.

• 2-3 years’ working experience in end-to-end Category Buying / Procurement. You must have sourcing and negotiation experience and able to execute spot buys.

• Understanding of sourcing and analytics tools such as Ariba, SAP MM/SRM, advanced MS Excel, MS Access, and Database tools.

• Strong communication skills to engage suppliers and enter negotiation.

• Project management skills and ability to manage complex cross-country, cross-functional scope.

• Strong analytical skills enabling to understand cost models, sourcing results and financial and operational impact for the Company with a strategic mindset.

• Knowledge of Procurement processes, methods and techniques, including negotiation skills, e-sourcing tools, e-auctions is required.

• Category management experience is a strong asset.
