Do you want a highly impactful role within a team that is growing fast? Expedia Group’s Regulatory Operations team is looking for a high-energy, motivated individual to support a portfolio of regulatory initiatives. We are looking for someone who will facilitate outstanding operational methodologies coordinating across a diverse, globally distributed team to ensure that Expedia Group meets regulatory requirements.

As a Senior Regulatory Operations Analyst, you will maintain strong alignment with key departments to ensure our response to evolving global regulatory requirements is well-planned and effectively implemented. You will lead operational initiatives about internal data analysis, and reporting requirements, and collaborate closely across multiple teams to identify and resolve any compliance-related issues that arise. As a leader on the team, you will be able to effectively evaluate data, optimize data-related processes, and perform root-cause analysis/solutions for various workstreams while partnering with analysts on the team. You will partner with regional leaders, product, marketing, customer experience, tax, legal, and government affairs to collaborate, complete compliance requirements, and track overall progress.

In this role, you will: 

  • Work cross-functionally to gather & synthesize relevant data to analyze risk and drive successful regulatory outcomes that align with company-wide strategic initiatives. 

  • Extract, load and transform data from multiple sources of global compliance initiatives.

  • Continuously improve the compliance processes and methods, and follow a control framework to identify and resolve compliance gaps.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to provide input on scalable processes and tools.

  • Establish quality control feedback loops between organizations and leadership within Expedia Group.

  • Partnership, influence, and motivate resources outside your team.

Experience and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience

  • 4+ year of experience with exposure to operations and /or E-commerce

  • Experience with end-to-end management and ownership of high-priority initiatives and comfortable working on multiple initiatives concurrently.

  • Excellent at managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks/projects, setting goals and meeting deadlines.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance operations, and two-sided marketplaces a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence others.

  • Experience with creative and structured problem-solving with the ability to navigate through unfamiliar or time-sensitive issues.

  • Experience working cross-culturally with the ability to adapt personal style to different teams, environments, and time zones.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel.

  • Experience with JIRA and Salesforce.
