ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company has an immediate opening for a Member of the Technical Staff in the area of Fuel Products at its Technical Center in Prague, Czech Republic.  The successful candidate will have a broad background in fuel technology with core expertise in life cycle analysis (LCA).   Experience in reviewing and summarizing extensive, complex regulatory language and to provide technical guidance on fuel products impacts is preferred.

Fuel Technology Advisor- Life Cycle Analysis

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis, including LCA, associated with characterizing, modeling, and assessing environmental performance of products and processes associated with the energy and petrochemical industry

  • Provide understanding and technical knowledge of fuel products and their applications to support  ExxonMobil business objectives

  • Review and summarize extensive, complex regulatory language and provide technical guidance on fuel products impacts

  • Support global initiatives for advanced vehicles and fuels in anticipation of regulatory requirements and industry trends

  • Represent ExxonMobil at industry and academic meetings by attending and presenting technical papers and approved ExxonMobil policy positions

  • Support Global improvement initiatives to help improve the delivery of superior performing fuel products to customers

  • Interface with third parties to ensure understanding of product component performance, customer needs and supplier trends

What are we looking for:

  • A BS or MS or Ph.D. in engineering (chemical, environmental, mechanical), environmental science, chemistry, or related field is required

  • Academic experience in the area of life cycle analysis, fuel products development, fuel technology, or energy system modeling

  • Strong interest in fuel applications and fuel technology

  • Willing to travel internationally and relocate domestically

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
