Project Syndicate is seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to help manage and expand its digital audience, subscribership, and revenue. The successful candidate will work across channels (mainly marketing mailings, on-site communication, social platforms, and newsletters) to help develop our digital strategy and execute campaigns to both promote PS content and grow our subscriber base. The Digital Marketing Associate will report to the Marketing Manager and work in tandem with other members of the team to support other initiatives as needed.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of previous experience in digital marketing and/or campaign creation, with a keen interest in learning more. Flexibility, the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and the drive and willingness to adapt to shifting responsibilities and priorities is paramount.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and execute ongoing, dynamic, and cohesive marketing campaigns to drive audience acquisition and engagement, new subscription growth, and digital revenue
Create all marketing materials needed for marketing campaigns, including written copy, creative assets, etc.
Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources to monitor performance and develop actionable insights
Understand and leverage the capabilities of our CMS’s messaging system to better drive audience and subscriber growth
Support audience acquisition activities through content recirculation, strategic partnerships, and other initiatives aimed at attracting and engaging new readers
Collaborate with colleagues to assist in promotional or product enhancement activities when needed
Key Skills/Experience (required):
Minimum of two years of experience in a digital marketing-focused role and/or news media in a business capacity
Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing campaigns
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high level of detail
Detailed knowledge of and experience working with a number of digital marketing and data management technologies (such as MailChimp, Google Analytics, Tableau)
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite programs, especially Photoshop
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Native-level English
Passion for the news and current events
Legally authorized to work in the Czech Republic/EU
Key Skills/Experience (preferred):
1-3 years of experience in digital campaigns, news products, or newsletters within the news industry
1+ years conducting/analyzing/presenting market research
SEO experience
Full-time position based in Prague with the possibility of two remote workdays per week
