“Amazing food in an even more amazing new setting.”

Visiting U Cedru for over 20 years I now visited the complete new U Cedru, the interior is an amazing modern but cosy setting which would not look bad in NYC. The food is as always of a perfect quality and extended with some new dishes. The service, under the guidance of the amazing host-owner Sam is focused on details. An owner knowing most of his guests is unfortunately rare but in U Cedru since the first day of opening.

Living for mor than 4 Years in this great City, it had been the first evening we went to this Restaurant. Honestly, it is not what I would call a cheap place. But the food and the service is worth every single Koruna. We left the choice of food totaly to the waiter and it had been delicious. So we had a couple of starters (6 plates) and than a platter of meat ( minced lamb, chicken, an beef) all so tender and jucy and well spiced. Just to... read more

Very satified

On a visit to Prague last week, decided to try something different, so, as I have never tried Lebanese food before(I'm Irish), I was very pleased. I let the staff choose my dishes for me and my friend, and it was lovely, I'm a big fan of hummus now. I will definitely visit next time I'm in Prague. 10 out of 10 for food 10 out of 10 for service 9 out of 10 for price

Empty for a reason

Went here on a Thursday evening after finding no tables in nearby Potrefena Husa or Pizzeria Grosseto. I'd read the good reviews on here and met someone who swore by the place. Don't know if that was all a while ago, but it was a very bad experience. Entered at 8:10, (only customers in the place) 8:15 Ordered 8:45 ask for some bread + hummous as we were starving 8:55 food comes out, but taken upstairs and obviously eaten by serving... read more

Lovely food but watch that bill...

Went here for the first time on Saturday in desperate need of meze, and on first impressions was actually very impressed - varied, fresh and reasonably priced Lebanese food (in my case the Special Platter of fresh houmous, falafel, baba ganesh, taboulleh and fetatir etc), surprisingly prompt and polite service, and a sosy decor reminiscent of a Birmingham curry house. A pleasant evening was passed - then came the bill. The deceitful... read more

In the Middle-East eating was never a mere survival necessaty: dining is always a feast. This is obvious when eating out at U Cedru in Prague 6, the appetizers - or "mezzas" - can often be more than enough to fill you up (Baba Ghanoush, Hommus, Falafel, Tabouleh, etc. etc. etc.) which would be a pity as the main courses are a treat. An abundance of rice and couscous served with delicious grilled meats and sauces rich in spices. The traditional... read more

Went there for lunch last week and was pretty surprised at the high quality of food. The humus was very good, the lamb that I ate was even better, and even the falafel balls were perfect (crunchy with a soft and warm center). The prices were a little higher than I expected (I would hope that there was a lunch special, but no such luck) and service was friendly!
