Get ready for a celebration of wild rides, handmade machines, and unpredictable plunges into the Vltava at the Red Bull Kolo Molo event on Saturday, June 21.

Forty two-person teams will compete in the event, having already impressed the jury with their creative designs. Now, they’ll build their own tandem bikes—and soon show off their inventions in front of a live audience and panel of judges.

At Red Bull Kolo Molo, the goal is simple: reach the end of the course, ring the bell, and (good luck!) not end up in the water. But hold tight! Speed isn’t everything. Judges will be scoring teams on their bike design, team chemistry, costumes, and overall showmanship.

Olympic and cycling legends join the jury

A panel of four well-known Czech sports personalities will decide who takes home the title. Olympic kayaker Vavřinec Hradilek, mountain bikers Tomáš Slavík and Michal Maroši, and snowboardcross world champion Eva Adamczyková will all serve as judges.

“I’m looking forward to a great show. The last time I was on the judging panel, it was a blast, and I believe it’ll be just as fun with the guys again. I’m especially excited to see the mix of style and cycling technique that the contestants will prepare for us,” says Adamczyková.

Hradilek adds, “The winning team must not have only great technique, but also energy and a performance that entertains both the audience and the jury. It's important to come up with something original that everyone will remember.”

Slavík reminds participants that it won’t be easy: “Tandem biking over water is a completely different world.”

“And hopefully not underwater,” Maroši adds with a smile.

Free entry, or reserve a spot with a view

Red Bull Kolo Molo runs from 1 pm to early evening at the Port7 complex, with free entry for the public. However, those wanting guaranteed comfort and a front-row view of the action can purchase tickets for the reserved grandstand. These come with quiet facilities and a clear view of the pier throughout the event. Standing tickets (CZK 249) and seated tickets (CZK 449) can be purchased at goout.cz.

Whether you're coming to cheer on friends, admire the one-of-a-kind contraptions, or just soak in the vibe along the Vltava, this is a show that promises to entertain—even if you’ve never been on a bike yourself.

The event is supported by foodora, Lidl, and T-Mobile, with media coverage from Nova Action and Evropa 2. For updates, visit RedBull.cz/kolomolo.
