I'm looking to take my mother out of town for a spa trip when she visits in March. The thing is where ever we go must be easy to get to by train or bus as I don't have a car. Oh and something not outrageously expensive would be cool too.

Anybody got any suggestions?

thanks

maybe a bit further away - but there is even a direct train from prague i believe (might be a bit cheaper than the more popular spas) and the countryside is very nice

i think that's the natural surface temp of the water - the therapy pools are heated - the 10-12 degrees is good for drinking though

Try Teplice. It's about 2 hours by train from Prague (from masarykovo). We stayed in Hotel Beethoven for about 2500 kc each (if i remember correctly) and that included breakfast, and approx. 10 procedures (i.e thai massage, mud treatments, underwater massage etc etc.)
