As most of us live and work here and basically have no representatives, what would you think of an Expat lobbying group?

An organization that would try to defend/sort out:

- discriminations between expats and residents
- quality of expats services: visa issues, foreign police, etc...

Of course there would be a fee to join such a group (2k/year ?), or take advantage of its services so that it could finance itself and spend some money lobbying.

Just throwing this out there. I'm not sure i'd have time to take on a major role in it, but i'd sure support it.

there's a website that could help with such issues and provide help and advice.

Yeah sure, but it certainly has no power to push for a better service (like at least an English speaking person) at the foreign police office.

We're paying for these services out of our own pocket after all.

Yeah DC maybe someone said the same thing of Greenpeace 30 years ago: maybe they didn't change the world but they had an impact.
