| after reading about Vermeer and their cheeseburgers.. I decided to give the place a try... as I approached, the chalkboard near the door announced that they had Reubens and Monte Cristos...what I thought ??? a Reuben in Prague?? I must be dreaming...
but i was awake and shortly after ordering a PERFECT Reuben appeared on my plate.. rye bread grilled perfectly, just the right amount of 1000 Island dressing, saurkraut, swiss cheese and yes real honest to goodness corned beef!!! pure BLISS... that and the lovely bowl of perfectly done steak fries.. total heaven!! Reubens have been my favorite sandwich since I was about 10 years old.. so there is a lot sense memory for me in one.. and this one was great!!!
they also make Monte Cristo sandwiches (Croque Monsieur). Given the perfect Reuben, I have no doubt about the cheeseburger.
The restaurant itself is elegant without being stuffy.. they have a semi private room for small parties and a totally private room which they are planning to set up for meetings (full AV equipment, etc).
Would be a GREAT place for a company party... Run by Macedonians who got an American to design their menu and train their chef (who has years of upscale hotel experience, I got to chat with him while I was eating, as the place wasn't busy). These people have put a lot of time and money into making it a really fine place.
not a shill, I am merely raving about a new and interesting place that deserves to get a chance.
