If anybody is interested in doing MMF/Vale Tudo training here in Prague, let me know -- I'm looking at having my trainer start an evening class (after 6pm -- days still open). You should be somewhat fit and pretty serious, as this isn't a "beginner" type class -- most of the trainers and trainees compete professionally or semi-professionally ... prepare to come and get tapped out.

Well, the trainer mixes striking (kick-boxing & muy thai) and submissions ... it doesn't really matter if it's standing or on the ground -- armbars, kneebars, chokes, etc... I can say so far it has been a lot of exercise more than anything ... most of these guys are fighting pro or semi-pro, so we do a lot of fighting ... but, you of course can do what you want (I'd be more likely to just work on tenique)-- which means just submission work if you want. There is another gym that is doing Vale Tudo AND Brazillian Jiu-Jitsui (with a Top Team Brazillian instructor) ... so, if you want to just work on submission fighting Brazillian style, I can give you more info. I am doing it mainly for exercise, but as I noted, most of the Czechs (I'm the only foreigner as of now) are training for more.
