Since its foundation in 2004 Letní Letná has offered 1,027 shows that have been attended by the overall number of 213,000 spectators. The festival has made it possible for the Czech audience to see in Prague such great names of the international scene as Cirque Ici, Cirque Trottola, Les Colporteurs, 7 Fingers, Cirkus Cirkör, Compagnie XY, Cirque Baroque, Cahin Caha, Malabar, Atelier Lefevreu & André, Cie Galapiat, Le Poivre Rose, Cirque Inextremiste, Le Boustrophedon and many more. The attractiveness of the festival is constantly on the rise – the first edition saw 6,300 spectators attend the total of 60 shows, the latest 2014 edition then as many as 30,000 spectators at 120 shows.
Within the decade of its existence, Letní Letná has gained a prominent position on the Prague cultural agenda, as well as internationally. It has grown into a unique event in the Czech context, presenting the best of the international new circus scene to the Czech audience while providing for a rich program to families with kids during a long 16-day summer period.
