Highjump

Everybody, who like free fall, the sun and bikini, make sure to note following date! The 13th year of national championship in diving takes place from 3. – 4. August 2012 at the quarry of Hřiměždice near Pribram. High Jump is not just an adrenaline sport experience. During these two hot days of holiday you experience a little more excitement in conjunction with music and gadgets than at some ordinary music festival.

HIGH JUMP is Czech variant of cliff diving races held around the whole world. History says that this sport originated in Hawaii, where men threw themselves headlong from the rock in order to prove their courage to local women. Present says, that it is a great fun in a beautiful environment of granite quarry in Hřiměždice with the presence of beautiful women and charismatic cool dudes and with great supporting program.

The daily program offers a professional exhibition and competition in extreme diving from 12 and 16 meter tower and from 5 meter springboard. The main roles are presented by elite divers from abroad and also by Czech athletes. For the first time in the history of Highjump will be presented an exhibition dive from 20 meters and even three times. The Highjump event will be attended by international stars of cliff diving such as Anna Bader, Ilya Schurov, Andreas Hulliger, Cristian Guth and others. You cannot miss this experience, so that come to see what this lady is able to spin, wrap and twist away!

Another discipline, which is included in the program, is the most bizarre branch of diving called Splashdiving (for the idea, popularly called "Placak” = “Flat landing”). This race is named after the partner Evropa 2 CRAZY JUMP. The grateful landing is definitely not important in this discipline; the goal is to splash as much water as possible within the landing.

Budweiser Budvar Highjump is definitely not the meaningless holiday „entertainment“, it is an event and community which brought up the best Czech divers and divers of world-class level. For example Lucie Absolonova, Jan Slansky or Michal Navratil, our number one diving celebrity, has started his career at Highjump and now belongs to the most successful divers in the world. He has even got a prestigious contract as a high diver in the aquatic theatre on the ship Allure of the Seas and now is receiving points for leading positions in World Series of RED BULL CLIFFDIVING.

The evening program will be icing on the cake that feed you up till early morning hours. The quarry will turn into one big party, where at RED BULL TOUR BUS will be presented e.g.: PRAGO UNION, HOKÝŽE SLÍŽE, U-CEEE or UNITED Flavour Band. The rhytm in your body will be definitely woken up by our special guest DJ A-Skillz on Friday at Jagermeister stage.
