Alfons Mucha: Slovanská epopejThe Slav Epic by Czech Art Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939) was put on display in the Great Room of Veletrzni palac (Exhibition Palace) after 84 years in Prague again today and it will open to the public on Thursday. The cycle of 20 paintings inspired by Slav mythology and the history of Bohemians and Moravians was exhibited for the first time in Veletrzni palac in 1928.Several years later, the paintings were removed and stayed in a depository for decades until 1963. Since then, they were in the Moravsky Krumlov chateau until last year.Exhibition prepared by the Prague National Gallery - Galerie hlavního města Prahy.OPEN: Tuesday-Sunday from 10:00 do 18:00 hodin.
