Far East Movement are the word, and they are about to return to Prague to present their newly released album, Dirty Bass, on July 17 at Prague’s renowned club, Roxy. Far East Movement came into existence in 2003 in Los Angeles, being named after one of the band’s hits. The band produces a crossover between hip hop, pop, electro and dance music, creating a very unique sound – and style as well. There are four members to Far East Movement, three founding members, rappers Kev Nish, Prohgress, and Jae Choung; and DJ Virman. They all are also songwriters. In 2010, the band signed a deal with a major record label, Cherry Tree Records that harbors also LMFAO. Since then they have released two records (Free Wired, 2010) and a very fresh one, Dirty Bass (released May 18, 2012). Far East Movement are no strangers to the pop sphere; they have often worked with big ace names, such as Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Natalia Kills, Mohombi, Snoop Dog and lots of others. Their recent clip, Live my life was produced by Redfoo of LMFAO, and features Justin Bieber. Also their new song Candy feat. Pitbull features in the party movie “Project X”. One of the band’s songs, Round Round is also featured in the Hollywood blockbuster, “The Fast and the Furious: The Tokyo Drift.”“We are absolutely thrilled to have Far East Movement in Prague. We’ve had great feedback from the fans when FEM performed before our LMFAO show in Prague this February. FEM are known to work with big names; recently they’ve worked for example with rapper Pitbull, whom we’re also bringing to Prague on June 17. Simply put, Far East Movement is a band you wouldn’t want to miss!” said one of the representatives of the promoting company, Fource Entertainment.
