Dissapointing
This place is a classic Czech rip-off style business. This is a pity because the design is nice and the cuisine very good (great sushi). And, due to a nice terrace with an overview of the river, this place has great potential.
However, the service is slow, untrained and unprofessional. Wi-Fi does not work even though they tell you to keep trying and it should work ... then after one hour you just give up. When paying you get charged per person for a so-called "couvert". When you ask what "couvert" is, they tell you: "Bread, salt & pepper." You tell them you had sushi, without bread or salt, nor pepper and they tell you promptly "it was for soy sauce then". Hahaha!
It is common to get tea, free of charge, in Japanese sushi restaurants (not to mention the extra charge for soy sauce), and, the sushi is totally overpriced (70-90 and more CZK, per PIECE!). So, for the management to ask extra for soy sauce is laughable.
The cheesy pop muzak in the background does not match the high-style decor, but rather reminds one of cheap Italian-style pizzerias all over Prague. Why not some classical chamber music, or Japanese music?
There is great potential, but a lot of work needs to be done to raise this place to a standard implied by such high prices. Otherwise, to refer to this place as a sushi restaurant is a gimmick at best, and a rip-off at worst.

It´s new, it´s cool and it´s incredibly chic dahlings. Welcome to SOHO+ the latest in fancy schmansy restaurants in Prague.
Anyone with an eye for interior design will probably already be familiar with the work of Mario Wild, who has designed the interiors of such places as Herzigova Cihelna, Zahrada V Opere and countless coffee chains.
In this particular pocket of fabulousness in Podeli no expense was spared. The room has been divided up into cosy little nooks and hidey-holes using white chiffon, there´s a little den with sofas hidden in the middle. It´s certainly got style. It´s also perfectly lit, good to know during over the tiring festive season, as so many restaurants here have lighting like Russian interrogation cells (and waitresses to match). It´s a designers dream.
The mussels with Parmesan scored a perfect ten, the white bait starter in a tomato and cheese sauce was large enough to make up an entire meal in itself.
Steak, excellent cut of meat, and cooked exactly as I asked.
As well as the usual selection, the international menu seemed draw some influences from Greece and Italy.
Wine - a reasonable selection of cheaper Czechs (around 300/ 400kc), Italians, Greeks and New Worlds, which ranged in price between 500 - 2000kc.
The food itself was also variable in price. The most expensive being a fish platter containing mussels and prawns and other stuff that I can´t remember (see reference to new world wines) was as much as 1400, a steak meal came in at a shade over 400 if I recall, so it´s certainly not for those on a budget.
The service was attentive, I can´t remember at any point having to crane my head for a waiter or a top up.
And there are no paper towels in this bathroom, oh no, you have your own individual square of freshly laundered flannel to dry your pinkies on.
In essence this restaurant has a huge wow factor, you´ll be impressed by the décor alone. It also has a huge beautiful terrace with views of the golf course. It´s classy, it´s the perfect out of town special place for a date, service superb, food excellent. You just gotta pay for it. Or get a date who will.
