This is my favorite restaurant in Prague for its distinctive almost surreal atmosphere, playing slightly irritating but original music. The main server is there every single time and certainly mastered the art of serving Krishna food; time goes by but he's always there like a lighthouse at the port. Food vary from moderate to excellent, after 4:30 pm the menu costs around 50 Kc. Where will you find a 4 course Indian style dinner for just under 50 Kc? Govinda is here to feed everyone. You can also purchase pakoras, samosas, etc. and Indian/Czech style sweats. The sweats are amazing, but if you're on diet you certainly out of luck.

Busy place which gives it a nice atmosphere, and nice decor too. Not sure about the music though...hearing the words "Hare Krishna" constantly while you're eating does get very irritating. Not sure about the food too. Yes it is cheap but the main meal was pretty poor. However, the extras you can buy such as the pakora, were delicious. But due to the poor main dish and irritating music I will not return there again.

This place has good vibes, good food, and free water. Definitly worth checking out!

Go for the atmosphere, not the food. These restaurants are pleasant places to sit with friends and discuss the interesting and sometimes odd looking food that has appeared on your plate. The food can vary from delicious to tasteless and ressembling slop. Other than side dishes, customers have no choice whatsoever in the food they are getting, and the quality goes up and down depending on the day of the week and the mood of the cooks. However, the restaurants are pretty, the water is free, and usually something they put on your plate will be tasty, or at least digestable. Plus, what did you really expect for 100 krowns?
