In a fairy-tale house, built in about 1410, on the shortest street in Prague, in the place of a formerly well-known teahouse you’ll find CLEAR HEAD Vegetarian Restaurant.

CLEAR HEAD is a non-smoking, open-kitchen vegetarian restaurant, where you won’t meet meat… and you won’t mind. It’s a place, whose “genius loci" (spirit of the place) will clear your head, sate your appetite and delight your soul. Enjoy the wonderful play of colors, tastes and smells and let your senses play with delight. We want to share with you our favorite meals which are cooked with the intent of supporting your whole body and bringing a good feeling within.

Mmmm... Vegetarian Heaven

If you prefer vegetarian food or just healthy food choices in general, don't look no further - Lehka Hlava is definitely one of the best options in Prague. Located conveniently in the city centre, this restaurant not only has a beautifully designed unique interior but serves delicious, fresh and great quality food. My favourite on their menu is their grilled goat cheese with green leaves and cranberry sauce and their own version of a cheesecake with mashed strawberries, but have tried numerous meals and always loved it. The staff is genuinely friendly - priceless. They offer a very affordable lunch menu - a rather giant portion for just 90 Kc, I think they do weekend brunches too but never had a chance to try them. A reservation is often necessary.

Wonderful

A Czech friend took me here, and the experience was wonderful. Charmingly located on the shortest street in Prague, it is a breath of fresh air in a city with smoke-filled cafes and aloof waiters. That being said, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the wait staff was attentive and hospitable, thought still extremely apologetic and humble as all Czechs are. The place does not fit many people, and most people care to sit under the twinkling starlight room, but we sat at a little table for two in the in the backroom which was quite and comfortable as we could speak English without worry. The selection of international fare was fresh, delicious and priced well. Definitely looking forward to my next visit, though I do wonder if it will as pleasant without a nonnative speaker.

A welcome change

It's been open about 5 years now - Lehka Hlava is such a welcome change in Prague. The food is very good, though I would avoid the creamy pastas: too heavy. The location is a great little spot and I particularly love the interesting drinks and juices; the chilli hot chocolate is to die for. The service, though friendly, is extremely slow - don't go there if you're in a rush. It's a popular place, so be sure to reserve a table well ahead of time.

Best Vegetarian, Best Quality

It's very hard to get a table here, especially if you have a big group, but it's a small space. The food is amazing for Prague standards and comparatively, the prices aren't bad. The waiters aren't amazing and they might forget your order a few times, but despite that, it's okay. The potatoes au gratin ARE AMAZING. ORDER THEM OR FOREVER REGRET YOUR LIFE DECISIONS. Enjoy your stay in Prague!

Great find

Tucked back in a quiet lane, the atmosphere is ephemeral, prices reasonable and the service excellent. Lots of vegie offerings and yummy tea.
