I decided to go there and watch some lunch time footie, enjoy a couple of beers and a spot of lunch.

The local beer was good, and with the discount card for expats, was reasonably priced for the area. The food was to be honest, basic but excellent, and favourably compared with many British pubs back home, (especially those Pub Steahouses) Ok I only had Burger and Chips, but it was tasty, there was plenty on the plate including an excellent coleslaw salad, and the card reduced the price again.

The only real complaint I could have, and I am a reformed smoker I must admit, was I found a good area to watch the match, only the moment my food arrived, three smokers came and sat on an opposite table. Maybe a small area should be made available for those that don't want smoked lunches, only grilled!

Apart from that moan, it will be well worth another visit soon.

With a nice cozy pub atmosphere upstairs and a roomy sports bar downstairs, Three Lions is a great place to meet up with friends to watch a game.

The upstairs has several screens, while downstairs not only has several games on small screens, it has whatever the featured game is on two projection screens. The sports bar has darts and a pool table and the VERY high ceiling help in keeping from being overwhelmingly smokey.

The fish and chips was a real treat! A nice big piece of cod in tasty batter and malt vinegar.. mmmmm

Mark, the owner, is extending extra special hospitality to all memeber of expats.cz - so stop in and get your discount card.. prices are what you might expect in that area of town.. but the 20kc couvert is a bit much when I am not sure what it "couvert-ed"! the condiments??? wow.. that would be my biggest complaint..

otherwise, it's a great place to go when you need a fix of REAL fish and chips.. (and I am sure other yummy food too!)
