The school is based on more than 170 year tradition of upbringing and education in crafts of sight handicapped people in Bohemia and Moravia established by Aloys Klar. The conception of the school follows contemporary pedagogical trends in education of people with different handicaps. The special secondary school fo sight handicaped youth prepares associates of special and basic school in the qualification of sport and fitness masseurs during a 4year study with leaving examinations. The special training college for sight handicaped apperentices offers 4year qualification for upholsterers and book-blinders, 3year qualification for sport and fitness masseurs and ceramists (pottery). The special training college for sight handicaped youth offers also 3year qualification in the branch of brush and basket work and ceramic as well. This qualification is finished by leaving examinations with indenture. The school asked for file a new qualification - textile designer for secondary school. The school area is a modern, large and light bulding without barriers in a calm environment of a big garden with a basketball and voleyball playground, a tennis court and a wall for mountaineers. The school kitchen provides the fully rational pension boarding for all the pupils.
