The Special Kindergarten is part of the Children's Integration Centre Ltd. (Detské integracní centrum s.r.o - DIC). DIC offers comprehensive, i.e. educational, medical and social care and services for children with health problems, who are integrated into the classes with healthy children in mixed age-groups. All our efforts are directed to minimising the long-term effects of handicap on children with health problems and to preventing health problems with healthy children. Every class has a specific focus. One class much in demand from parents is the preparation class for children whose entry into the school system has been delayed. The class programme is focusing on the intensive acquisition of the knowledge and skills the children need for making a successful entry into the Czech school system.
