Established in 1996 GCIS offers Montessori education for children from 1.5 till 6 years in a culturally diverse, family-like environment. The mission of the school is to provide a child-oriented approach to education that deeply respects the uniqueness of each child in non-competitive atmosphere of multiage classes.
 
Montessori curriculum is enriched with art, music, dance, drama, and physical education. Weekly hypo therapy, swimming and tennis lessons are optional. Special program “English as a Second Language” is offered to children with little or no English. Teachers are fully USA qualified, have internationally recognized Montessori certificates (AMI) and experience with teaching abroad.
 
The school is located in the Sarka Valley right next to the forest and open fields in a rural setting. A big safe playground can be entered directly from each classroom.
