"450 czk for a burrito, chips and a beer!?"

This past weekend I went to Cantina and ordered their ranchero burrito, a tiny bowl of chips and salsa ("nachos salsa") and two beers. Wow was I amazed when the bill came came: a whopping 450 czk---or about $25 USD total. The burrito was medium to smallish and came with a tiny bowl of salsa and another tiny bowl of sour cream. No, not filling--and no, definitely not worth 250czk! Especially when the basic ingredients in Mexican food is quite cheap (tortillas, beans, rice, etc) this type of price gouging is unconscionable. In California you can get giant 3/4 lb gourmet burritos loaded with guacamole, salsa, cilantro---the works for $5-7 USD! Average quality food, the main point is I was totally ripped off. I will never go there again, the prices are way too high. Definitely not recommended, what a tourist trap this place is.

Just had a delicious meal with the Mrs. today. Excellent porek soup (since when is leek soup a Mexican dish...never mind, it was really good). The better half had a meat and bean tostada and I had the three veggie enchiladas (cheeses, bean and spinach). I found the portions definitely enough to fill a big eater like me. Fresh veggies abound, meals had terrific sauces, and the meals were not "spiced down" Best of all, there were no smokers anywhere to be seen, so my meal wasnt ruined by them. I will knock of a couple of points for having no parking at all. Sorry, if you want to get here, you gotta take trams. They also lose a point for having only three meals available for vegetarians. Other wise service and food were certainly first class...and shock!...horror!! ... GASP!!! The waitress actually smiled and asked if everything was alright. A very rare occurence in my 18years here in Praha

i was there 5-6 times since 2005
and i was everytime satisfied:
by food, by cakes and by waiters courtesy.
the place is quite small and is often busy,
but i like the food here very much, even turkey, beef or chicken...
and don't forget to taste the choco cake...
wow! :)

Aztec Bean Soup, Beef Fajitas, and a large pitcher of frozen Margaritas left me full and satisfied.

It was spoiled slightly by the selfish smokers at the next table but, many other restaurants are equally guilty of that fault.

Overall, though, good place and good food.

Warm interior, friendly staff, excellent margaritas, good affordable Mexican food.

Reservations recommended as it can get very busy.
