The Mlýn /Mill/ Hotel (the name relates closely to the building in which it is situated) can be found in the Velehrad community, 7 km north-west from Uherské Hradiště. The present community of Velehrad has been spread out around the former Cistercian monastery, in the Salaška brook dale. The monastery foundation initiated by Robert, bishop of Olomouc, Vladislav Jindřich, margrave of Moravia and at a contribution of Přemysl Otakar I, Czech king, dates back to the beginning of the 13th century.
