Jarmila Valkova is a native Czech teacher offering one-to one lessons, lessons in small groups and in-company courses. She also teaches at Charles University (her seminars are called Communication in Practice), works as a Czech teacher at Alfa jazykové kurzy and as a senior teacher and teacher trainer at Tutor and Caledonian language schools. 

She holds a Master’s degree in the Czech language, Certificate of Proficiency in English and she is working on her PhD in linguistics. (The topic of her doctoral thesis is the communicative approach to second language acquisition.)

In August 2010 she worked as a coordinator and teacher at Summer School of Slavonic Languages held by Charles University in Prague.
