"Great for masochists with don't own a washing machine"

If simply cleaning your clothes and returning home after an uneventful time at the laundromat isn't stimulating enough for you, try "the Andy's laundromat experience".

The woman who works there treats you as if YOU are Andy the dog himself trying to do laundry. She breathes down your neck watching you do the laundry, yelling instructions, and has no problem sticking her hands in a pile of your underwear. She even went so far as to criticize the amount of soap I put in the machine (too little - after all I am a filthy dog).

The older guy who works there went so far as to accuse me of trying to break the dryer by putting too many clothes in it. Funny coming from a place that has a photograph of a human sitting inside one of their dryers on the wall. I should say one time the woman did offer me coffee (a treat!), though it was after she scolded me. She had yelled at me because I needed to go to the atm to get out more money to pay for the overpriced washing machines.

It's also enjoyable playing roulette with the price list. You never know how much you're going to have to pay!
I'm pretty sure they raise their prices in summer (or maybe just overcharge depending on their moods) because the first time I went there without looking at the price list I ended up paying 600czk for two loads of laundry. I only returned because I don't have a washing machine and sadly there are no alternatives.

There is one nice and decent human being who works there. He is in his 20's and seemingly from planet earth. If anyone other than him is there I would suggest just wearing your dirty clothes until you can figure something else out. I went as far to move from one apartment to another just to get a washing machine and to never have to be degraded and observed like I am a menace to the laundromat community.

The prices here are very, very high -- up to 120Kc if you want to use a large dryer (and nothing else!). While some of the staff is fine, some is not. They intrude on your doing your own laundry: they put your laundry in the machine even when you have paid to do it yourself, stopping it before it's done, setting it on "medium" instead of "hot" even though you request "hot," etc. For the prices they charge, I want to be able to turn my dryer to the hottest setting if I so choose. Ridiculous. Avoid at all costs. Too bad "Andy" the dog (the laundromat's new name is "Andy's") is so cute; the place is so bad.
"Horrible experience"

My girlfriend and I went to Andy's Prague Laundromat today for the second time and the experience was horrible. First of all as others have said it is extremely overpriced. We had bed linens which they made us dry in the extra large dryers which are 120 a load! Then they wouldn't let us put it in one dryer because it "wouldn't dry efficiently" then they wouldn't let us use high heat! We actually got into an argument with the woman and she finally let us put it on high. We went back to check and she had secretly gone back and turned them down! As we waited another customer was accosted by this woman when he accidentally put his laundry in a "big" washer instead of the small ones. They both use the same token and it is not clear that you have to pay more. She insulted him to the point that rather than let him pay for the large machine, which was trying to do, she had him take his wet laundry mid-wash and kicked him out!
Horrible

I've been using this facility on and off for two years. I must say that I have never found it to be anything other than very good: the staff are friendly and efficient; for left laundry they offer a good service and stuff comes back clean and neatly ironed. For the laundromat service, the machines are good, and I've never had a problem waiting for machines to become available, though I can imagine that might happen from time to time. Altogether, very good.

There are some very nice things about Prague Laundromat - it's close to the metro and tram lines near Namesti Miru and the washing machines and dryers are the larage U.S. commerical models that you can stuff lots of clothes or large items like coats and blankets into.

However, like previous reviewers have said, it cost 75czk to wash or dry one load and you may need to run the dryer 2 times to get your clothes completely dry. And 1/2 of the washers and dryers are out-of-order and they've been that way for months.

The waiting area is fairly clean and the English speaking staff is friendly enough but they allow SMOKING inside the laundromat!

It makes no sense

The atmosphere is quite good, its calm and you can comfortably surf on the internet. The wash takes about 20 min so you can have a walk in the Vinohrady district. The staff is very agreeable.
"4 out of 6 machines were broken, 2 hour wait."

Very frustrating experience. My machine is not working properly, so I went to the fairly close by Cyber-Laundry. In the past I swore I would not come back because the prices were so high. But to make matters worse 4 out of 10 washing machines were broken. I ended up waiting 2 hours to start my wash.

Not recommended.

It cost 150 Kc to wash and dry one load. It's ridiculous.
