TransgasNet was established on 14 February 2000 as a subsidiary of the then state-owned Transgas, s.p. To meet the customers' needs it uses modern telecommunication technologies and its proprietary optical cable transmission networks.

From its parent company, TransgasNet has acquired long-standing experience with the design and operation of telecommunication and data networks.

As a young alternative telecom and internet service operator in the Czech Republic TransgasNet offers high-speed connection to its Internet network to ISPs a ASPs: Thanks to its proprietary high-capacity optical network routes across the Czech Republic to foreign countries, which TransgasNet leases to its customers, the company provides a broad range of Internet services including webhousing to large corporations and medium-sized businesses.
