Morning all. I moved to Prague from the UK over a month ago, it´s great, I love it. All is well. That is until my dealings with O2.
3 Weeks ago I ordered ADSL, I took an afternoon off work so the engineer could come and install it, all Friday afternoon I staying in dreaming of the Eastenders I could iPlayer, thinking of the family I could Skype, just waiting for BBC radio 4 to be streaming in to my living room. Did they show? No! Was there a phone call to explain there absence? No.
Well I though, telecom companies are normally a bit crap, I mean - If you haven´t got any competition why bother to make your customers happy, it´s not like they have a choice.
So come Monday morning, off to the O2 shop I go, trying to rant and rave slowly to the shop assistances that really don´t seem to give a monkeys. Eventually I get another appointment for Saturday just gone. Once again I sit in all morning waiting for someone to turn up. Did they? You guessed it NO. No phone call, nada.
I´ve tried to ring the customer care line and they either hang up on me because I´m specking English or Technical support ring me back unable to support my non-existent ADSL line. So this lunch time I´ll be off down to the o2 shop again. I won´t be holding my breath.

Everything everyone else is saying is what I have to say as well. Horrible customer service, they don't take their customers seriously. I suspect it's english speakers they don't care much about. The technician didn't show up and instead of accommodating my inconvenience, they made me wait another week for an appointment. Let's see if the techie shows up this Wednesday. I'm so frustrated.

If you wanna to be fraud become a customer of the best official daylight robbery company of Europe - O2 Telefonnica.
you will get the chance to be cheating from the first steps, when you will order any services and waiting for their installation and activation, you will be chaetied every day using O2 services, with lower than advirtised interped speeds, with more expensive telephone calls to abroad and so on.
But it`s not everithing that you could get becoming O2 customer.
You will feel the thrully Customer Care every time when you will try to contact the online Customer Care services, when you call the Customer info line, or visiting their shops.
And when you will try finally to stop using O2 services you should get special promotion package of iron nerves and desire not to give up whit this goal.
And finally, once becoming O2 customer you will get the chance to recieve their bills even after stopping using their services.
If you ready for such an experince hurry up - but dont forget to find some advocate whom you will need to go to the court with the claim against these robbers(of cource, if you are not going to pay them during all your life for their f*cking services)

O2 is simply a joke.
after waiting 3 weeks for installations of the whole thing, tv, internet, phone - they finally called me, the tech guy was waiting downstairs.
The problem was, he was waiting downstairs on my old adress - where I have not been living for 2,5 years!!! But the managed to send the sat box to the right adress!!
Then waiting again, and finally it happened, installation, yes:). We are on the www. - but only for 1 hour, then the whole thing went blank.
And then you have to put up with all the diplomasy you can mobilise. Calling O2 is like calling your dead uncle. They simply don't answer, you are hanging there - waiting, and are finally being told, that "we are sorry but at the moment our - and so on".
I really wonder, why they are telling us customers that our call might be monitored to improve their services. WHAT SERVICES ARE WE TALKING ABOUT!!!

o2 is the worst company I have dealt with in the Czech Republic.
I bought a pre-paid sim card and a month or so later asked for advice about which laptop modem would be best for me given that I was going to be moving out of Prague. I was told that I should get the axess-tel (square black box). I was told that I would get free internet on my mobile as well.
While I was in Prague, I had two problems: the modem was crashing my vista computer and the modem stopped functioning. The "too koool for skool" o2 staff said that the axess-tel was cheap quality and that I should not have bought it. So why did they recommend it? They admitted they were aware of the problem with the axess-tel and vista crashing. They said they couldn't do anything about it as they just sell them [cough]. When it stopped functioning, it was the main cable. A friend alerted me that the same thing had happened with his within weeks.
Next I tried to connect my antennae. On first attempt the elbow connector snapped where it connects to the modem. I took it to the shop and they insisted on me paying for a new one. When I pointed out that this is a warranty issue, they made me go home and get my warranty card even though they had all my information in front of them.
I left Prague for my new place in the country and found that the axess-tel does not work. I also found out that the other modem should have been recommended to me as it has much wider coverage. At the same time, I started to get messages on my phone that I was now paying for internet.
I put a written complaint in about the modem and have not received a substantive response.
I went to the shop near Museum station to try to get it all sorted out as I now had no internet on my computer and no internet on my phone. They wanted to solve the problem by me keeping all the old connections and paying for them and buying a new connection. I said that I would take ADSL as a new home connection but wanted to swap the modems over so I can actually use what I purchased. They said I would have to put it in writing (to the same people who dont respond).
Oh.. and the free internet for my phone that I get with the modem....? If I want to use it, I have to swap out my sim cards - use one only for internet and use one only for phone. They even managed to keep a straight face.
THIS IS A COMPANY TO AVOID!

We signed up for service with O2 for the Trio package. We were told it would be set up within 1 week and that they company would contact us within 3 days to get it figured out. That was October 24th. It is now December 4, and after having our package sent to the wrong address, the inability of any CS employee to CHANGE the address that is incorrect, and several yelling matches, we have our phone line ACTIVATED...but no package yet. Should have it by tonight. I am curious what will happen next. Either way, this is the worst service, the worst organized organization, and the worst consumer experience I have had in a long long time!

A friend is moving from Prague and asked that I help with the move - handing over his flat after he sold it, disconnecting the utilities etc.
O2 gave us the run around for two weeks. NO ONE knew exactly HOW to disconnect service. One operator said one thing, a person at a shop said something different, then another operator contradicted both of them. It's a nightmare dealing with them. One so called insider told me that they want it this way. It makes people not want to switch operators or cancel service. What kind of operation is this? Telefonica is an international company. How does it survive on the global stage with this sort of mindset?

After about 2 month of waiting for activation I now have been using the O2 Internet ADSL 4096 package for over 2 months. The download speed has been reasonable at about 3200(400kbps) but upload speed is awful. It is supposed to be 256K but it has achieved a maximum speed of 60(8kbps), 25% of the advertised maximum speed. With 2 way commumication applications such as Skype, Vonage or other VOIP I can hear the other person perfectly but they hear a very crackly audio signal. Why sell something you cannot deliver?

I had my internet and phone put in on the first of september, i had service for exactly one day before the entire service both internet and phone went down, it is now the 10th of September and it is still not repaired, this is disgusting.
Its cost me about 3000czk just to be able to work from an internet cafe for the last 10 days because i have no internet connection and i really need it for business.
I'm at the point where im going to walk into there office and pay the 12 month contract off and tell them to go stick it.
My advice would be to stay as far away from Cesky Telecom as possible, there service is disgusting and so is manner in which they treat there customers, just palming them off.

I signed up for this service way back in January. However, I had to wait until my contract with another company ended in April for service to begin. Unfortunately, it never did. When I called to find out what the delay was, I was told it would start in 4 days. Then, 7 days. Then, 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I was told there was some technical difficulty that should be resolved very quickly. The problem wasn't solved. When I called to find out what the delay was, I was told that it would likely be resolved by September. (Today is May 8th.) I cannot recommend avoiding CT's ADSL promises enough. Their service sounds like it will be worthwhile, but it ends up being a costly pain. (I am stuck with dial-up for now.) If it were possible, I would be giving them a negative score rather than this generous 1.

I have requested to have the internet connected by CT back in February. They promised that was going to work form the 1-st April. Since I had my own hardware, I only ordered the connection, no assistance from CT needed. When the internet was still not working first Monday of April I called them with questions what is going on, and when it will be available. To my amazement person from call centre said that they don´t know when it will work, but they will send a message to the tech department with those questions, and will call me back. No one called me back. So I called them again, asking for some kind of feedback. I didn´t receive any. After one more call I was promised it will work in 5 days. Of course it wasn´t working and no one could tell me why, the answer from call centre saying “there are problems” was not good enough for me. Anyway, after another call and request to speak to the manager they promised another 5 days. Today is the 23-rd. The internet is still not working, although it should have been working for over 3 weeks now. During my last call I have learned that it might, might be working from 15 May. Just 1,5 month later than promised. Of course no one really cared that they promised something and couldn´t keep their promises. No one could provide any kind of technical explanation as to what is going on, why is it taking so long. In my opinion CT´s service, and attitude towards client is bellow any comments, and I wouldn´t advice their services to anyone. Their service is like mirage, looks nice from the outside, but in reality it´s not even worth the sand.

Well as much as everyone complains about them.. i signed up for high speed internet access on a Saturday and on that Monday they called wanting to know if they could do the install on Tuesday! I told them that didn't work and they said Thursday? Yes - good they will be at your place between 8am and 9am.. and at 8:20, two men arrived.. did some stuff to my computer, hooked up the ADSL modem and at 8:40 I signed papers and they left!!
It NEVER would have been that easy in the States!!! So it's about 1000kc a month and that includes 6 hours of regular telelphone time.
Not the cheapest provider in town, but it certainly reliable!
