The Prague British School Vlastina site
In February 2008 PBS moved to a new site in Prague 6. The school is located in Vlastina street in the area of Liboc in the west of the city. It takes approximately 15 minutes to drive from the centre of Prague to the Vlastina site
Vlastina is a Foundation Stage and Primary school (age 3 – 11). Children who complete the Primary school at Vlastina then transfer to the Senior School at Kamýk. Approximately 250 students attend the Vlastina site.
The Vlastina Senior School opens in September 2015, extending the Vlastina School up to the end of Year 9. The Senior School will be housed in the upper part of the current Vlastina building and will have state-of-the-art facilities to allow students to complete Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) at Vlastina. Students follow the National Curriculum for England, studying a wide range of subjects over the three programme.
After completing Year 9, students transfer to the Kamyk site (http://www.expats.cz/prague/czech/international-schools/prague-british-school/) to complete the IGCSE programme (Years 10 and 11) and the International Baccalaureate (Years 12 and 13). The first Vlastina Year 7 class opens in September 2015, with the Year 8 class opening in September 2016 and Year 9 in September 2017.
