The English College in Prague, established in 1994, is a selective six-year independent school and is also part of the Czech school system.
The College offers a British-style education in English, with an international dimension, for 350 Czech and ex-patriate boys and girls aged 13-19. It is a member of HMC and affiliate member COBIS and its Patrons are former President Vaclav Havel and HRH Prince Charles. The College prides itself on its academic standards, the quality of its pastoral care and its wide range of extra-curricular activities.
ECP prepares students for the IGCSE and IB examinations, which qualify them for entry to universities in the Czech Republic, UK, USA and elsewhere. Its IB results are well above the world average and in 2011 three students received conditional places at Oxford and Cambridge universities.
