The 1st International School of Ostrava opened its doors in September, 2005 to provide education in English for children between the ages of 3 and 19.

The International Primary School is registered with the British QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority – no. 1350016) and follows the National Curriculum of England as well as the International Primary Curriculum, and is expanding its ESL (English as a Second Language) programme. 
The school is a Regular Member of the Council of International Schools, and the International Primary Curriculum, and will be working on gaining accreditation in the coming months and years.

The English-Czech Secondary School consists of the Middle school for Juniors aged 11 – 15 and the Upper School for Seniors aged 15 – 19. Graduates currently earn the Czech Maturita. Support for SAT and IELTS tests is provided.
