We are now the first to bring the ancient cooking method known as Dum Pukht to central Europe. Dum cooking is a slow cooking process, which seals in the flavor of food. Yet another first by us is our Shalamar Halal ‘Meat on Bone’ Specialities served in 230 – 240gms portions. We use only our own Shalamar brand of Basmati rice grown in the fertile foothills of the Himalayas. The great rivers the Indus, the Ganges, the Brahma Putra and Amu Darya in their waters bring the rich minerals from the peaks of the Himalayas to supply the soil of the rice paddies with the rice minerals, which help to create the unique environment necessary for the cultivation of the royal taste of Basmati rice.
