The food is prepared and tastes the same as in India/Pakistan, so it has been always excellent dining experience. After the change of the manager during the last year the quality of the food and service has even been improved, so I will be returning there.

We really enjoyed our visit. The food was just delicious, very nice and helpful staff.
The location is quite convenient just 3 minutes walk from Husinecka Station and 10 minutes from Main Railway station. I would recommend this restaurant to all our friends.

We tried this place just over a year ago and were neither put off nor particularly impressed. However, we decided to give it another shot and were glad that we did. The restaurant has a new chef and manager (who admits that the food style is now classically Indian, rather than specifically Pakistani) and they seem set on upping the standards, acknowledging that quality in the past was not as it should have been.
The food was tasty and clearly made with good quality fresh ingredients. We both had Chicken Madras, sharing garlic naan and pilau rice. We found the quality to be at least as good as any we've tasted in Prague and comparable to a good Indian restaurant in the UK. The portions weren't huge as in some British Indian restaurants but there was enough food to satisfy us without having starters or desserts.
If there was one criticism I would make it would be that the Madras was not as spicy as I am used to but it was still very enjoyable and we will definitely be back again.
Suddenly, that 99Kc lunch buffet looks rather tempting.

I gave this place a good review in 2009, but I cant believe this is under the same ownership?? The food was average at best, portions were small as usual, but that makes it even worse when the quality goes down hill. Judging by the empty seats, customers are wiseing up to the standard being poor. I just find it hard to believe that that these guys are serious about running a sucessfull restaurant in a town where there is so many good restaurants who offer better value. I wont be in a rush to return, thats for sure.

a lot of food and very poor quality... what a shame. the waiter was a real star but has gone now the service ...well lack of service.. is obvious...chef changed in the last six months and not for the better.
with more Indian restaurants opening in Prague daily i do fear for this restaurant.. and with the changes at Masala my world is now at an end...where the f**k is a decent cheap Indian in Prague....HELP!

This place has no standards of cooking proper indian food. The service is slow, the portions are slow and the quality is not professional. Proper Indian food is hard to get in Prague. I have studied and cooked Indian food and know how it should be. This place is awful. They kept me waiting for ages. I ordered a chicken jalfrezi, but it was not properly done, the sauce was too thin, not spicy enough, and the chicken was not cooked thoroughly as it should be. I don't mind waiting for good quality food, but this place gives a crap quality of food.

Hey, all of you who gave Mannis a top score, have you eaten Indian food anywhere else? I'm from the UK and
consider us having great curry houses, so I think I'm in a good position to criticise having eaten curry every week in varoius locations since I can remember and also having travelled to India, therefore eating Indian food everyday while I was there. I agree 100% with the only other negative review on here, we had exactly the same dishes, except my Vindaloo was chicken not beef. The portion was ridiculously small, and the sauce was spicy but way too sweet and lacking any real flavour. The Korma (chuckle) was sweet custard, end of. I went based on the great reviews written here and was shocked by how bad it was! Go to Massalas if you want a great curry, and no I don't know them or work for or with them!

I visited the place just yesterday and loved the chicken Makhni and mutton karahi. the Mango lassi was great as well.
Chicken biryani was a bit average. all in all a good experience.
its always important to ask for recommendations from the people serving.

My husband and I went for dinner this evening and were sorely disappointed. We read the reviews here and were stunned when both his Beef Vindaloo and my Chicken Korma were incredibly sweet. Korma is a mild curry, but it should never taste like dessert. It was sickeningly sweet and I wasn't able to eat all of it because it was actually making me nauseous! The Vindaloo was spicy, but lacked the tang that it should have, and it was also very sweet.
To top it off, I left the restaurant with a raging headache- the kind of headache I've only ever gotten when eating cheap Chinese food, which leads me to believe that the cause of the excessive sweetness was MSG. Additionally, the service was really slow, and the portions were rather small. I will never dine here again.

My flatmate and I visit this restaurant about twice a week. The food and service are both wonderful... I'll admit that there were some problems about a year ago with the service, but since there is now new management these problems have disappeared. Also, they will make their dishes very spicy on request, and the prices are very reasonable.

been to this place several times now and it never fails to deliver a great curry. the location and décor leave something to be desired however when you see the menu in terms of quantity and the prices then all is forgiven.
I read some negative comments here about the service however I've never had a problem, always polite and attentive.
If you are looking for a good curry at half the prices of the other curry houses this is the place to go.

Took another couple with us last night for their first visit, we had 4 different startes, 5 different main courses, rice, three types of nan and chapatis, 2 bottles of red, 1 white, 1 lassi, 4 whiskies and 3 coffees for under 2000kc. Each and every dish was excellant and the service was great. Our friends assured us they'll be going back even though it's completely out of their area. As always we'll be back like the proverbial bad pennies!

0two recent visits to Manni we are still impressed with the great standard and choice of food which is freshly prepared and good, nan is the best we've tasted in Czech.
The service isn't the best but good things are worth the wait, maybe the loud American woman should have thought about that last friday (11/05/07) when she was rudely expressing her thoughts!
All in all a good, inexpensive, pleasant dining experience.

My favorite local restaurant in Zizkov. Service isn't always the quickest, but people are friendly and the food is usually very tasty with spice to order.
