I had an absolutely terrible experience with Slavia, I think they are extremely unethical. Their claims department will deny your claim most likely, and pay you as little as possible. They will use delay tactics, "no English spoken here" tactics (even though they will gladly have a staff person available to speak English when you open your policy and pay them!).

I had a small and valid claim: trying to get them to pay out on my claim was impossible. They used every trick in the book to avoid paying the doctor's bills I presented. In the end I gave up trying to collect my money from them. They will be very nice in the beginning when getting you to sign up for their insurance and pay them, but when you have a claim to submit they will become very rude, very difficult, not return your emails or calls. Their game is to become nasty and hostile in order to make you give up trying to get them to pay out on your claim. Just awful. Be forewarned, look elsewhere if you want good health insurance coverage that will pay you in the event of medical emergency.
