If you're looking for a decent meal, this is the place to be. Not cheap, but not expensive as well and if you look at the quality, it's worth to pay a bit more... Service is really good! (In prague, they often seem to be rude or they're taking your dish away when somebody else on your table is still eating, but here we couldn't make any remark on the service! I had a Beef brochette and it's really good (a bit lot vegetables compared with the beef, but if you like paprika and onion, it's no problem at all). Also a good variety of wines... And it's also important to mention that there was quite a lot of people in the restaurant. There's always more atmosphere when the tables around you are occupied and if you are lucky, there will be somebody playing some music...

We had our New Year's Eve dinner at Lary Fary - or rather we were trying to have our NYE dinner there. We had complied with the restaurant´s request for cash payment in advance (1.950 CZK per person). At 8:30 pm we arrived armed with two vouchers to enjoy our festive dinner. Our waiter Gabor offered us an aperitif and we ordered our choices of starters and main courses from the menu. About 30 minutes after our arrival he served the starters. Fair enough, there was plenty of time until midnight and every Prague travel guide prepares the unititiated for a casual Czech approach to timing and restaurant service. This, however, is where any conception of professional service ended and explicit neglect began. We had to ask for the wine list. We had to ask for a breadbasket (which seemed to be offered freely enough to other guests apart from our neighbors who ended up joining us in our request). At around 10:00 pm we told the Maitre d' that we had not been served soup and he took care of it in a flash. Then we continued to wait and watch Gabor as he carried plates of food past us to other tables. In disbelief we asked for the next course, sorbet, to be served. Ultimately we started to get worried because midnight was fast approaching and we had not had the main course. We addressed the Maitre d' again and the main course was served around 11:30 pm. Our desert came along maybe ten minutes before midnight and we ate it as quickly as we could to be able to leave this unpleasant dining experience behind in the Old Year. We certainly had not come to Prague to welcome the New Year indoors. Neither had the couple at the table next to us - arriving at Lary Fary at 7:45 pm they had fared even worse. The food was nice enough, there was live entertainment (albeit the singer was a little off-key at times) but the passive-hostile service approach taken by our waiter greatly diminished our overall dining experience. When we left the restaurant (that night it had served 140 guests) it was comparatively empty.

this is a great place to take guests especially. the prices of course are higher than ordinary but still very reasonable. my boyfriend and i brought his parents there and 4 main meals with beer came out to about 2000 crowns, which is a total bargain considering how delicious the food was. services was great and the environment was one of a kind

My girlfriend and I have visited this restaurant on several occasions. The sushi is truly excellent - great location in the heart of old town and wonderful decor to boot.
A fairly pricey joint but expect great service and great food. Great place to meet friends- if even for a coffee.
