I visited Essensia quite a while ago but still remember the great time we had there. The service was top-notch - all of them really trying to do their best and going out of their way to make sure everything was beyond our expectations. My friend is vegan so was discussing the menu options with the waitress but it almost seemed like the chef -perfect as about everything about this restaurant- just took it as an exciting challenge and surprised her with a delicious vegetable masterpiece - amazing. As they were moving simultaneously around our table, all nice and smiling, it made me feel like a princess. I really enjoyed all of the courses, especially the dessert, which really was to die for.
Great Spa, great restaurant. Looking forward to come back, as i have heard they have a new chef and a new menu.

Great location, Western service (a relief in Prague), serene Asian decor and very good food. Worth a visit when you're tired of pork and dumplings. The bar is sophisticated and also a great respite from the city.

Mandarin Oriental Prague; inside this beautiful hotel (a 14th century Monastery fully restored) the restaurant Essensia is modern and offers the best food (half of the menu is Asian, half European) I ever had in Prague. This place is a must for anybody loving perfect service and perfect food. In weekends the, also modern, bar offers live music; not the usual old man playing the piano but an American (or British?) guitar player. Peter.
