Cautor is a Latin word that stands for "guarantor".  that was established by Michal Hrubý in 1999 - shortly after his departure from the position of the head of the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic. The name of the firm originated during discussions with lawyers. "Originally we thought, that the firm could be named Cautor only, but we wanted to emphasize that we could surely resolve problems of businesses and alike provide consulting services, therefore, the word 'consulting' was added". Advisory firm  uses services of a team of experienced economic specialists who gained their wide expertise while working in business and financial sphere, in academic environment and in bodies of state administration - especially as regards activities relating to the process of pos-privatization restructuralization, creation of institutions of market economy and other aspects of transformation of the Czech economy. They gained their experience also in participation with international institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad; they also participated on preparation and in negotiating of international contracts and agreements.
