March 28, 2011: Looking for rhythm class teacher!We are looking for a new rhythm class teacher! You should have experience in working with kids 3 - 6 years old, teaching them basic understanding of rhythm. Playing basic rhythm instruments, singing, dancing, clapping, all in a playfull way. February 22, 2011: Additional lesson NATHYSUMBA and lower prices We have added a NATHYSUMBA lesson each Friday at 7 p.m. with Nathalian. Furthermore, we have reduced the length of all NATHYSUMBA classes to 60 minutes, and lowered the price down to 150 Kc per class! NEWS Jan. 19:Dear Mums (and Dads!)

as we informed you already a few days ago, we are now ready to offer some classes just for you! Come and join us with:

- NATHYSUMBA dancing: Monday's at 10.00h and Wednesday's at 14h, both with Eunika (first class starts January 24) (NATHYSUMBA is something very close to Zumba :-) )

- Power and Fitness ballet: Tuesday's and Thursday's, each at 10.00h with Nathy. (choice between Power and Fitness / or a combination at your convenience and to be agreed directly with Nathy) First class starts January 20.

All classes are for 60 minutes, price is 200 Kc per class (this is basically in-line with Prague's top offers, but don't forget that at NATHY's it is "all inclusive"!)

Classes are designed as open class, so bring your friends along! The more fun you'll have! Booking is always just one week in advance, payments can be made per class or per month, at your convenience.

We will show you a short demo of all 3 offers! At the end of Monday's and Thursday's ballet lesson (around 17h), Nathy will give a short demo of Power ballet, Fitness ballet and Zumba! Please feel free to invite your friends to these demo's!

NATHY’S BALLET ACADEMYin Prague is an international ballet school – taking a very different approach to how children can spend their leisure time.

A playful child-centred approach with an international feel

 

We know every child is different and our approach to our young students reflects that understanding. Therefore, our classes are smaller - not more than 12 students - than you may experience in other schools. Creating a safe learning environment while we play and dance is core to how we do things. Our teachers are time-served professionals in dance and movement, experts with international experience of working with young people and small children. NATHY’S teaches creativity, developing improvisation skills and really encourages the child’s own imagination. Learning great skills such as feeling the music and rhythm are a bonus!

We have an abundance of natural light, an environment exquisitely appointed and furnished makes NATHY’S a very special place to learn dance. Our primary aim: Having a fun-filled and healthy time!

 

Core to our aim is to ensure all of our young (and not so young!) learners have a great time. We really want them to look forward to their next class! A safe learning environment is essential to help us build strength and skills in our students. NATHY’S Ballet Academy is fitted with a professional ballet floor in our dancing hall, of the same specification as fitted in the National Theatre of Prague. This ensures everyone’s joints are protected, something that is critical to the skills and craft we love. We believe that having a great time goes hand in hand with protecting, maintaining and improving the health of each and every one of our students and trainers as well!

Every child has his or her own talent, we help them find which ones!

 

As parents and teachers, we all have a responsibility to help each child find something they love doing, maybe something they can be really great at doing! 

 

The limitations of the traditional school environment don’t always allow the child to explore their own path, so the parent needs more options. Maybe it’s golf, hockey, music or rugby, classical ballet or Hip-Hop dance, today’s parents and carers share that passion for helping their child explore the wider world of leisure and cultural options. NATHY’S helps you do just that.

 

 

Seeing our students really enjoying their learning and dancing experience is what gives us our passion for what we do. Whilst they literally “find their feet” in their new skill, the child builds his or her confidence, co-ordination and fitness.  

 

As an internationally experienced learning team, we feel that the child’s personal development is best helped by a balanced pedagogical approach to their learning. This is perhaps more common in the US, UK, Scandinavia and Germany, than it is here in The Czech Republic. The current thinking is that the child needs to try as many leisure activities as is practicable, finding their talents themselves. We think children are naturally very good at this, we guide them and nurture their talent.

 

This approach helps bring a broader perspective within the child’s own personal development, building confidence and helping them find their own favourite ways to deal with the challenges that life can throw at them.

 

NATHY’S vision is not necessarily to turn every little boy or girl in to another Rudolf Nureyev or another Margot Fonteyn. It is to spark the initial that all important interest and generate the child’s passion. We teach the skills to love the music, the elegance, the movement and the sheer enjoyment of classical or modern ballet.
