My experience was nothing like that of the other reviewers. I found Lucerna full of drunken tourists, overpriced, and overall really lame.

Lucerna is like a planet onto itself; a party planet. The 80s night is absolutely amazing, especially the music videos. Unlike some dance clubs currently in the directory, Czechs actually go here, which is good if you want to party with some locals. My main complaint with Lucerna is its extremely huge (several floors) size, making it almost impossible to meet your friends here-- or stay with your friends if you come with them. This is the kind of place your mother warned you never to put down your coat in, even for a minute: you would never see your coat again. And hold tightly to your drink. However, if you are friendless (or want to be!) this is a good place to bump into wierd, drunk new people.

Scott's review is right on!! Lucerna 80's night is just plain fun.. completely NOT pretentious and it's a great trip down memory lane for those of us old enough to remember those 80's videos the first time!
And the restaurant at Lucerna is pretty good and prices are very fair considering the area.
Good cheap night out!!!

If you're fed up with dance clubs playing electronic music then be sure to check out Lucerna Music Club off Wenceslas Square. They have a packed 80's party on both Friday and Saturday nights. It has a good interactive atmosphere and has Pilsner on tap for 28Kc and a cover charge of 90Kc. The partygoers are a mix of expats, tourists and Czechs with a good guy/girl ratio. They play all the 80's hits along with the classic videos on a huge projection screen above the stage.
Sure, it's cheesy, but what else would you expect from 80's? For some people, it is a welcome change. I'd suggest having a few drinks before going though so check out Lucerna's new adjacent pub where the same 80's tunes warm you up while you can sit at a table and chat.
