While booking place for a christmas party, we explicitly asked whether they are willing to provide plates and cuttlery for consumption of our home-made christmas pudding. At the place, they gave us plates but then refused to give us cutlery. Thirty-plus lawyers (some might see it as a mitigating factor, I can imagine :) ) ended up eating the pudding with their hands.
On top of it, the waiter was very rude when refusing to lend us the forks...
