I have enjoyed this place a few times -- but more as a venue for Steve's Karaoke Addicts (karaokeaddicts.com) show than anything else. When the place is hopping, it's a lot of fun. Make sure you check karaokeaddicts.com before you go, however, or you'll be more at home whistling the theme to "The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly".

The top level of this complex is a purportedly 'gay' drag bar but seems mainly to draw in tourists (mostly straight) who don't know about the far superior show at Tingl Tangl over in Prague 1. I have ventured in several times, only to find it largely deserted -- a couple of tumbleweeds short of a ghost town. The photos of the performers on the wall are unimpressive.

I don't stay up nearly late enought to be able to provide any useful information about the "After Club" that is also a part of this complex.

What I Can say about this place is that it is a very interesting layout and a great place for karaoke. I understand the "Velvet Music Club" portion of the complex used to be a swimming pool and this very interesting space is often filled with a nice melange of Expats and a few locals who come to enjoy Steve's Karaoke show.

Don't bother if Steve's not there -- the selections on the karaoke jukebox (unless you're a sadist who enjoys Czech Karaoke) are lean and forgettable.

It really is a shame that the owner's can't seem to figure out what to do with this really interesting space. I give it a '6' but this is for POTENTIAL and for the good times I've had singing karaoke here.
