The International Women’s Association of Prague is an independent, non-political and non-profit organisation. 

It aims to promote friendship among women of all nationalities residing in the Czech Republic; to acquaint foreign members with the life and culture of the Czech Republic and identifies charities to which our members can contribute their talents and resources for the benefit of our host country.

History
In 1991, when the international women first assembled, the primary goal was social and informational. Within a short time the focus also turned to charitable causes and since then approximately 13 million Czech crowns have been donated to various charities and cultural events.

With an average membership of 500, this organisation of women from over 30 nations, sponsors a multi-faceted program of social, educational, civic and charitable activities. In addition, a monthly magazine is published to inform the membership of these activities. All proceeds from sales and advertising are used for charitable purposes.
