We are one of about 60 institutions of the Academy of
Sciences of the Czech Republic. Our mission is to perform research in the field of plasma physics and
application. We carry out research in the fields of controlled thermonuclear
fusion, exploitation of electric discharges, development of plasma sources,
interaction of plasma with other states of matter plasma-based or aided waste
treatment, plasma spraying processes, and further topics related to plasma.
